Your talk button may be disabled because your microphone is not configured correctly. You may run the audio setup wizard to ensure proper configuration. Another reason may be because another participant is already speaking. Depending on the type of class, only one participant is allowed to speak at a time and therefore you will have to wait until the person has finished speaking or ask your instructor to intervene by disabling the open mic of the participant.
